D’Andre Lane and Banika Jones, parents of missing 2-year-old Bianca Jones, spoke with Jim Kiertzner of Detroit’s 4 News last week. The uncut version of the interview can be seen here. I still don’t understand why D’Andre Lane thinks that talking about what happened that day, when his car and baby girl were allegedly taken by two carjackers, would be something that he can’t talk about. Are you kidding me?
D’Andre wants us to believe that one or both of these carjackers are the most likely people to have taken Bianca, and therefore could still have her or know where she is, right? However, he doesn’t want to say a word about them and what happened when they took his baby? Really?
D’Andre did say that the whole reason they were doing the interview was not to clear his name, but to get information out on Bianca to assist in finding her. The problem is, that refusing to answer a question about the very men that he is implicating as having taken Bianca completely contradicts that statement.
Let me try a simple question…we don’t buy Dad’s story…if somebody wanted to carjack me with my daughter in the car, I would do anything to prevent that.
That’s what the interviewer said. D’Andre’s response – that’s personal and it’s none of anybody’s business. The interviewer outright stated….that doesn’t make sense. The interviewer then asked…
Okay, what did you do?
D’Andre refused to answer and his lawyer got involved and any discussion of December 2nd, when Bianca disappeared, was off limits.
Well, okay. I’d just like to point out that the stats of carjackers stealing a car and finding they’ve just took one with a baby strapped in a carseat in the backseat show that almost all of them abandon the car and the baby immediately.
Apparently these two carjackers are real rare animals. Left the car, just blocks away, but took the baby.
