Yesterday’s MCSO press conference gave us glimpse into the complicated picture the investigators in the criminal investigation into the disappearance of Kyron Horman are trying to bring into full focus and completion. Starting out the press conference reference was made to photos of Kaine Horman’s pickup (or one similar to it) parked at two different locations at Skyline Elementary. Multnomah County Deputy DA Rod Underhill requested that anyone seeing Kaine’s white Ford F250 pickup between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. on June 4th parked in the two locations depicted in the photographs please contact them. They are looking for anyone who has information on someone in or in the immediate vicinity of the pickup at either of these locations.
There are 4 photographs showing two locations of the pickup, with 2 viewpoints for each location. Let’s review these photographs and clarify the locations depicted in them.

These two photographs (which appear to be staged because Kyron’s Wall of Hope is clearly seen in the top one) place the Horman pickup parked on the shoulder of Skyline just in front of the school as marked on the next map with a red circle.

The second set of photos show the pickup - which may not be staged (I can’t tell) - at a second location on the access road off Skyline and still in front of the school.

This location is marked with a red circle on the next map.

Finally, a third location at Skyline is of interest to the investigators. That asked that anyone parked in the south end of the Skyline Elementary parking lot, just of Skyline Drive, call in leave their name, and the make, model, color and license plate of the vehicle they were driving while parked in that area on June 4th. This area is marked on the next map.

The language and specific information requested by Deputy DA Underhill suggests that investigators are looking for a specific person. That, or they have surveillance video, video shot by an individual, photographs taken by an individual, or eye witness accounts that detail a specific vehicle in this southern area of the parking lot that could be critical to the investigation. The specificity of this request seems to point to the possibility the Horman pickup could have been at three locations while at the school on June 4th. The shoulder of Skyline Blvd, the access road of Skyline and this southern area of the parking lot. That, or they have already obtained eye witness accounts of some type of activity in this area of the parking lot associated with Terri, or an accomplice.
The next part of the press conference focused on bringing forward any witnesses who may have seen the Horman pickup (or Terri herself) in the parking lot of two different Fred Meyer stores. The first is the one we have already known about due to the investigators’ request for surveillance video from that store. It is 22075 Imbrie in Hillsboro. As we have discussed previously it is an approximate 12 minute drive from Skyline. Terri states she left Skyline and went to this Freddy’s and has a receipt with a time stamp of 9:12 a.m. Investigators are now requesting information on the pickup at this location at 9:00 a.m. With a reported departure time for Terri from Skyline of 8:45 a.m., she could easily have made this store by 9:00 a.m.
The second store for which investigators are seeking possible witnesses of the Horman pickup (or one looking like it) is another Fred Meyer store located at 15995 SW Walker Road in Beaverton. The investigators are seeking anyone who saw the Horman pickup at this store at 10:00 a.m. Now, according to Terri she left the first Freddy’s and drove to the second looking for medication for Kiara. The drive time between these two stores is approximately 8 minutes. Worst case would have Terri arriving at the second Freddy’s around 9:30 a.m. if she went directly there from the first.
The pickup being in the parking lot of this second Freddy’s as late as 10:00 a.m. could mean several things:
- Terri did not go straight to the second store, but somewhere else first, arriving at the second Freddy’s around 10:00 a.m. (It should be noted that Terri could actually go to 1. Skyline elementary and back within this time frame, or 2. to the farm where DeDe was working and back during this time frame and still make it to the second Freddy’s at 10:00 a.m.)
- Terri did go straight to the second store and waited for almost 30 minutes or more for??? someone else to arrive?
Lastly the investigators have zoned in on a smaller area in which they are looking for anyone who saw the Horman pickup between 10:15 and 11:30 the morning of June 4th. This area is marked in the red box below.

It is an area along, and on either side of Skyline Blvd between Newberry Road to the north, including Germantown Road and Old Germantown Road and down to Springville Road on the south. This area would include the vicinity of the farm DeDe Spicher was working at on June 4th, and at which it is currently being reported she “disappeared” around 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. that day. The drive time from the second Freddy’s to the approximate location of the farm DeDe was working on is about 17 minutes. If the Horman truck left the second Freddy’s at approximately 10:00 a.m., it would reach the general area delineated above around 10:17 a.m.
Based on what was said in the press conference it cannot be established whether the request for eye witnesses at the two stores is due to surveillance video which captured the pickup in the parking lot, eye witnesses who have placed the pickup at the store at these times, or if someone who is either involved in, or has been made privy to certain activities by Terri has opened up to investigators. It does feel that investigators or trying to get a corroborating eye witness to support something they have been told, but that is just a personal opinion by this writer.
The best news of the entire press conference was the statement they have still not found any evidence that Kyron is not alive.
Valhall.
