4-year old Teghan Skiba died Monday night from the severe bodily injured she suffered at the hands of her murderer and sexual abuser Jonathan Richardson. 21-year old Richardson brought Teghan into the emergency room claiming she had fallen off an air mattress and hurt herself. The ER personnel quickly figured out that falling off an air mattress doesn’t cause cuts, bites, severe head trauma or signs of torture and sexual abuse and called law enforcement.
Richardson and Skiba had been living in a barn, with no electricity or running water, since July 14th when Teghan’s mother, Helen Reyes, deployed to New Mexico for two weeks of National Reserves military training. She left Teghan in Richardson’s care. The barn was located behind the house of Richardson’s grandparents who apparently are deaf, ate up with stupid, or lying through their teeth because they claim to have not heard anything or had knowledge of the almost week-long torture of the 4-year old girl. I don’t know if they are expecting us to believe they didn’t even know she was back there, or what. But I think they would have a few more questions to answer, if I was involved.
Sheriff Steve Bizzell of Johnston County, North Carolina, has shared that in questioning of Helen Reyes, Teghan’s mother, Reyes stated she was “scared of Richrdson”. Well, Helen, then why the flaming hell did you leave your 4-year old daughter with him? If he scared you, a full-grown woman in the military, why did you think it was absolutely okay to leave him as primary caregiver to a defenseless child?
Bizzell has stated there may be additional charges coming for Richardson, and additional people charged. I’m thinking with if the grandparents don’t flunk a hearing test they may be involved in that new group…and without a doubt I would think Reyes is about to face child negligence or endangerment charges of some type…if not manslaughter.
Teghan was described as “a very energetic, vivacious and lovable child.” May she rest in peace…at least she doesn’t have to suffer anymore.

Valhall.
