I'm not sure I agree that Karen has been told something (implication being about Eric) that she is not telling others. While Karen probably has talked to Kristi more than she may want to share (not certain of that either), I have not seen anything that would lead me to believe Kristi has told her where Eric is, or what happened to him.

I think right now what will be most helpful for us to do is to continue to pass out the flyers, continue to just spread the word about Eric and the children to assist in getting people looking for them, or stepping up if they know something. And let the detectives (who are in multiple locations) continue to work this case.

The pressure is starting to get to Kay and she needs to be taken off the hook for now and allowed to rest and prayer that this nightmare will be resolved soon. So I am going to close this thread. I will start a new thread when there are updates to Eric's case. For now I would like us to give Kay time to heal from her surgery and work behind the scenes with the detectives to find her son.

Let's keep Eric's name alive for Kay!

Kay, Karen may not know the truth, but I am confident she has been told something which she believes to be fact, and something she feels she must keep from you and and others in order to "protect" her daughter.( Say for example, she has been told Eric was involved in something that would put wife and kids at risk, and he did the vanishing act and told her to take the kids and do the same). I DO NOT BELIEVE this to be the case, but feel that Karen has been told something that she believes to be true, and believes she must remain silent, or if saying anything she must give false info.

Kay, I would venture to guess there isn't a single Mother here who wouldn't feel exactly as you do about your son. I have told people about my "boys"... They are all grown men in the 40's now, but they are MY BOYS, and although I am very proud of the men they have become, (in spite of some really rough detours two of them have taken in life) they remain my little boys in my heart. I see them much like we see the photo of Eric and his cat. Sweet and innocent. I can still see my youngest at age 4 with a hammer in hand knocking out the head lights on my Mom's 59 Chevy. I can still see my middle son at age 7 hiding under my Mom's bed after being given a flat top hair cut, and telling me he wasn't coming out until his hair grew back. I can still see and hear my oldest at 4 when he told my Dad he had no plans to start school the next year, that he was going to college. My boys, always and forever. Yes, there were brushes with the law, drugs and booze, and I wondered if they would ever grow up. They have, and for the most part I don't talk about those bad times because they have become responsible men, married with children and two have grand children, so their past faults have been set aside.
I see Eric as a man who has overcome some of the same issues of youth most young men have. I see Eric as Momma's boy, whether he wants to think so or not, because bottom line, all boy's are Momma's boys no matter what. It is a Mother's right to feel this way.
Kay, don't ever let what other's might think bring you down, and KNOW, the Mom's here at Hinky Meter feel just as you do.

I do not believe KAREN knows where Eric is or even what has happened to him. I only know that Kristi and Tim remain silent on this subject,at least to us and probebley her mom. I pray each day that our grand babies are safe, warm and fed with the good food they are used to. I pray each day that Kristi will bring them to Karen wher they will recieve unconditional love from both sets of grandparents. I pray that this nightmare comes to a end one way or another. As I have always maintained I WANT MY BOY HOME!!! This family deserves closure, peace of mind as to where he is, is he warm, fed, does he have a place to lay his head? No matter what anyone else thinks he is still my little boy, look at the picture up thread with his Beast Cat, That is the boy that I see in my dreams the one that snuggled with me and would tell me he would be with me forever, The one that smelled of soap and water and a hint of dirt from how hard he played. my precious baby boy who is all alone now. I miss my boy.
