If you would like to print out flyers on Eric’s Missing and Endangered Adult case, we have created an unofficial one here at The Hinky Meter until there is an official flyer released.

One of the contacts I have been working with to bring together the information on this story has asked that I clarify/correct some information in the original article:
He did leave with a particular backpack and it is not clear if he has his cell phone, but it was not found in the packing up of the home in preparation for the scheduled move.
It should be noted that this information most likely came from his wife.

It has come to my attention that my language used in one portion of this article has given a false representation of the efforts by law enforcement on this case. As my readers know I am pro-law enforcement, so realizing that I may have conveyed a message I didn’t intend makes me sad, and I want to apologize. I think I may have been affected by the helpless feeling of the friends and loved ones looking for Eric when I used the word “callous” in referring to law enforcements statements. In addition, I believe the way they were conveyed to me may have been because what the family needs right now isn’t what they can have right now – which is an immediate answer. So, I need to correct this.
Law enforcement working this case has made sure flyers are all over the Reno area. In addition, that flyer has been sent out nationwide and Eric has been entered in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and so his name will flag as missing and endangered if it comes up in any traffic stops, etc. The law enforcement officers working this case care very much that Eric be located and the family’s concerns be laid to rest.
For these reasons I have edited a couple of sentences (edited tag included to denote change) because I do not want to lead people to think Eric’s disappearance is being disregarded by law enforcement.

Eric Dee Preimesberger is 29 years old. He is 5’7″ tall, has brown eyes, shaves his head (but if he let his hair grow out it would be dark blond), has a goatee that is red-brown and a tattoo on his left bicep of a dragon. Eric is a son, a brother, a husband, and a father to two adorable small children. He has not been heard from since April 20, 2010.

Eric’s most prized possession is his Ruckus Scooter. He would go on rides with a Ruckus group in the Reno area where he lived. He loved his Ruckus and all things about it so much that he chose “ruckrider” as his username on the discussion board totalruckus.com. That’s the place where he would visit with other bikers, talk about all things Ruckus and plan with his friends the next ride for the Reno Riders of Ruckus scooters. His last post on that forum was at 5:57 pm April 20th. It was a light-hearted post of “YO YO YO CHERRY BLUNT MAS!” and that was it. He has not logged on his account since.
April 20 is also the last time he spoke with his mother. He usually talked to her at least once a week by phone. None of his extended family have heard from him since.
Friends and family became worried. They began making calls trying to reach him. For several days there were excuses about why he couldn’t talk to them: he did not want to come to the phone and other reasons he could not or would not talk. And then his wife confided to one concerned caller that on April 24th he had become angry, thrown his cell phone and the key to his beloved Ruckus at her and walked down the street never to be seen again.
Something’s just not right.
There are times in a person’s life that they can feel like walking away from it all, but usually not literally. And if one were to become so frustrated with the situation with which they were dealing, and decided to discard both their family and their most prized material possession and just set off on foot, why would they not take their cell phone with them? It would require an instant commitment to disappear completely, to be totally untrackable. The notion that a person would walk away from a mode of transportation, leave their cell phone, pack no bag and set off on foot seems very hard to believe.
Add to that the fact that Eric had back problems. Even though he continued to work to support his wife and children, Eric needed surgery on his back. He had applied for a license to receive medical marijuana from the state of Nevada but had been turned down because he had been unable to afford the surgery needed for his back. It seems odd that a man who required surgery would venture off on foot with no belongings, no way to contact a friend to pick him up if he got to a point he realized he couldn’t go on.
It isn’t like Eric didn’t have something to live for. Whether there was extreme marital problems or not is not known by this writer, but he had two beautiful children, a boy and a girl, who he loved very much. And he had plans. While continuing to work at his regular job, he and his brother-in-law had been about to start their own business together. All of this thrown away? or so it is told.
Eric’s friends at totalruckus are concerned. They have been watching for him through-out the Reno area. Flyers have gone up and they continue to discuss the strange disappearance of their riding buddy. Eric’s extended family is concerned. They continue to pray and to talk to law enforcement who at this time respond with [EDITED AT THIS LOCATION] no news of Eric’s whereabouts. This is a hard message to receive when distraught with worry for a missing loved one.
Eric has now been missing 2 months. His friends and family are desperate to find out where he is, or if something happened to him. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Eric Dee Preimesberger, please contact the Reno, Nevada police department and ask for CSO Tazy. Please reference case number 10-13551.
