As has been reported since yesterday, Joran van der Sloot, who has continued to be the primary suspect to everyone but the corrupt Aruban police officials in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005, is now on the lam from Peruvian authorities. He has been named as the primary suspect in the murder of a 21 year old woman, Stephany Flores, who was found in a Lima hotel room Wednesday. She was found face down on the floor of the hotel room with signs of trauma to her body. An autopsy report is pending on the cause of death. Blink currently has an article up on this case with a video of the father of Stephany stating she had been stabbed.
CNN is reporting that two men, who are brothers, were paid by van der Sloot to drive him into Chile. van der Sloot was seen with the victim entering a casino in the early morning hours on Sunday. Later that same day van der Sloot and Flores were seen by a hotel employee entering the hotel van der Sloot was staying in, and in which Stephany’s body would later be discovered. It is believed Stephany was murdered later that day. Stephany’s car was later found at a location several blocks away and the Peruvian news agencies are reporting the father of the victim has stated that date rape drugs were found in the car. If this is true, it could give some insight into part of what happened to Natalee some five years ago.
Greta van Susteren interviewed Dan Collyns from Global Radio Network last evening and Mr. Collyns reported that approximately 4 hours after van der Sloot and Flores were seen entering his hotel, van der Sloot was seen leaving the hotel at which time it would appear that Flores’ car would have been abandoned and van der Sloot procured his trip to Chile. Now, in Greta’s interview Mr. Collyns gives a different account of how van der Sloot traveled from Lima, Peru to Chile. He states van der Sloot took a thousand kilometer bus ride to the Peru/Chile border and then crossed through immigration “without any checks”. Collyns states authorities believe van der Sloot may be trying to reach Argentina.
CBS reports that an Interpol arrest warrant has been issued, according to the Aruban prosecutor Peter Blanken – who is very busy feigning “shock” at the news van der Sloot may have murdered some one! He has already stated, in his infinite wisdom and with blind disregard that while he plans to “examine the new details”, he does not expect it to have any impact on the corrupt investigation into Holloway’s disappearance, which every one in the western hemisphere BUT Mr. Blanken knows was a murder. Oh…and he’s going to contact the Peruvian authorities to offer his assistance. Yeah, Mr. Blanken, I bet they’re holding their breath waiting for you to offer your uber-skills. Go stick your head back in the Aruban sand, or up daddy-van der Sloot’s wallet, whichever feels more like home for you.
Valhall.
