Another question I do have is about KC’s jail letters… does it open the door to any other investigation for the abuse allegations against Lee??? Would be the State’s interest to investigate or not? I don’t think so, it would be interesting to her defense in my layperson opinion, of course?

I have no idea what Mallory Parker said. The only point I tried to make is that just because Baez did not request a copy of her transcript, we shouldn’t assume she said something that Baez doesn’t want the public to know.

And, you know, maybe Mallory told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth but nothing in her testimony is going to make any difference for the defense or the state.

Hi there!!! You are welcome!!! I don’t think either. I am just so curious to read MP’s statements, I believe it’s important if she decided to speak her mind which I doubt it. If just Lee could have a lapse and tell what he really knows, it would be good which I also don’t believe it will ever happen. In my opinion the entire family will be supporting KC. This is so insane!!!

It’s not in the interest of the defense or the state to have all this discovery made public for us to discuss. The state could file witness deposition transcripts (like Mallory Parker’s) at any time without waiting for a request from Jose Baez. The reason the state doesn’t file the transcripts is that the state doesn’t want us to have any more discovery prior to the trial than they are forced by law to give us.

The testimony of George, Lee, and Cindy is so critical to the defense that Baez requested their deposition transcripts even though he knew those transcripts would thereby instantly become public record. By contrast, Mallory Parker’s testimony may not be critical at all.

As I understand the Sunshine Law, the Judge rules on whether or not to release materials. I haven’t looked at the docket to see if there is a specific defense motion to keep that transcript from public view, but I do not think it is always necessary. In the end, it is the Judge who decides if something is prejudicial or inflammatory to the Defendant. In my heart of hearts, I think there is a boatload of “stuff” (to over-use an Anthony word) that the public has not seen.

Hi there!!! I really would like to discuss Rozzie Franco’s statements to LE… did you read the transcript? It’s pretty short and she talked to LE on Sep 11, 2008 and if you read she talks about Mallory Parker. Well, MP was deposed on November 12, 2009 and I am curious to read her deposition which IIRC it was not released and Maura has touched on this issue how it works… I believe Maura posted yesterday (couldn’t find it now) that the defense has to apply for the transcript and it will be made public. JB was in MP’s deposition so he knows what she said right? Hmmmmm… is there any reason JB doesn’t want MP’s transcripts to be released. I am just curious. I am sorry if I am wrong.
