Merry Christmas Val – I’m so thankful that you’re sharing your precious time with us in order to make us more aware of crimes that impact regular families just like ours. Your compassion shines through whether you’re serious or using your own particularly twisted sense of humor (I mean that in all good ways).

And to the commenters that I’ve grown to care about so much here and from some of my other favorite places – I wish you all the happiest 2010 that you could possibly have. And when little Caylee finally receives justice – I wish we could all meet on a warm beach somewhere, have a few cocktails, share pictures and feel good about our little part in caring about victims of crime – and Caylee Marie Anthony.

What a thought! Meeting on a warm beach, somewhere. What’s midway between here and the rest of the world, Val? I got a better idea. We’ll all just meet at your house! LOL.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a fabulous New Year. I just saw the section about you in the library..Loved the pics. You are doing a wonderful job on that house! I laughed till I cried over the kitchen floor..been there with my old place. It made me look for my pictures. (not that I know how to load them or anything) Such big wood I had under all the crap layered on since 1920. And it was level! I had been having nightmares on what I might find. I immediately covered it with tile, like you. But you got great seams to your other rooms. My brother and I did my floor over a weekend twenty years ago. We sucked at the transition part. Someday.
