Since Mrs Baden asked for all FBI Lab personell credentials & portfolio (see ref. in CV’s request, at the doc dump)
I found a little thingy related to one of the defense’s experts, that should fairly be exposed, along with the FBI Lab personell data. PLEASE Val, allow me to add these 2 cents (hopefully I’ll get the link right…

The defense got some ex-wives?? Well I got an ex-client! (also claiming “NOT GUILTY” !!!!) LOL

What is interesting in this little 25 pages pdf, is that they’re demonstrative on the CLIENTS GENERAL IQ (Casey Anthony only reinforces the existing statistics, with her lies & BS)…no wonder they “believe” her!!!

Unfortunatly as opposed to Casey’s depo to LE (filled with fantastic details & fascinating characters)
the following one, is poor in it’s narrative. About 20 pages are about USING THE PHONE in jail and the remaining ones, almost exclusively dedicated to the F WORD….

Regarding Lee:

Re: Dr. Lee’s Fall from Grace as celebrity witness.

This was a little “trial within a trial” during Spector 1 with Spector’s ex attorney Sarah Caplan being ordered to take the stand and repeat for the judge what she saw him do at the crime scene. Following the judges admonishment, the infamous Dr Lee vamoosed to the far East on “urgent business” and did not testify in the case in chief during Spector 1. Neither did he show for Spector 11.

I watched Linda Kenney-Baden bore the courtroom to death with her lengthy cross examination of the prosecutions forensic witnesses in Spector I. It is a fore telling of what one can expect if the Anthony case goes to trial. She is a piece of work. (she looks totally different this year. New haridresser and botox I am guessing) She is whip smart and would be effective in her crosses. However, she didnt seem to know when or how to quit with her cross. I recalled just being so annoyed with her, wanting her to just stop talking.

Perhaps Dr Lees biggest talent has been being able to relate to jurors on this theatrical level complete with Charlie Chan accent and folksy props.

Are forensic scientists trained at all in presentation techniques? There surely must be seminars in how to best present your evidence and how to behave on the stand.

As one who has given expert testimony, I got to tell you its no picnic and you have to be able to think and respond all sorts of ways and most importantly to LISTEN.

However, I was able to see a couple of weeks ago (WFTV,Ward case) how the defense tryed to discredit Dr Garavaglia’s testimony in asserting the case as “homicide”.
despite being challenged in her opinions,her integrity remained untouched!!!
(as opposed to Dr Lee’s M.O.)
there’s an inner instinct on how one should behave (in life, as in court) and some ppl, I guess, could not ackowledge “proffessional ethics”, even after a Harvard Law School Phd, on the subject!

My utmost apologies for being so long in responding. I’ve just not gotten back to this particular posting. You cracked me up with your comment on Spector. And you are absolutely correct, Dr. Lee’s reputation is tarnished now, so the defense has that to worry about, as well. Casey’s reputation for partying for 31 days, among other things; the possibility of Dr. Lee planting evidence in HER FAVOR. I don’t suppose Lee will even make it to trial. There will be some excuse made and one greater than Lee will take his place. Hey Val, are you busy?

Baez will be rather fumbling, I think, and Baden will be scrambling after what’s left of their witness list, the main characters will have been impeached. What I don’t get is why Lyons and not Baden is so front and center now, being the one to comfort her (appearingly so) and to show such support, so early in the game? Seems to me it only adds to the public’s presupposition of her guilt, rather than her possible innocence. In my honest if less than knowledgable opinion, Baden should be making these preliminary arguements, filing motions, selecting her wardrobe, comforting Casey even so that no potential jurist might assume Casey guilty as charged and deserving of death row, simply because a DP attorney is so involved and so early. They don’t even have all of the evidence yet! To me, this speaks volumes in and of itself.

As for professional ethics, Filipe, sigh. There should be a new rule of law, barring anyone from profiting in any manner, be it fortune or fame, for at least two years after such a high profile case. That might help to keep the matter of professional ethics intact, wouldn’t you think?
