Timeglider Graphic Timeline added to Library Page
I have hesitantly added my Timeglider graphic timeline to the resources on the Library page for the Casey Anthony murder trial. I’m hesitant to share it for a number of reasons, so I’ll just list my caveats here.
1. It’s not finished. I just work on it when I feel like it.
2. The Timeglider.com software is free, so I’m not going to dis free stuff, but it is terribly glitchy in the interface, so don’t get mad at me if you get frustrated.
3. I made this not for really sharing, but just so I could work through things – see connections if you will. And it has helped me.
Some folks will take issue with decisions I’ve made on this Timeline, so I’m going to address those. Concerning the times listed for INCOMING calls to Casey’s cell phone. I have chosen the convention that the time listed on the released cell phone records for an INCOMING call is the termination time. There are many that disagree with this, and I’m stating right now I haven’t got clue which is correct. I chose the convention because if I declare it the initiating time there are far too many instances where Casey is making a phone call at the same time she is on a phone call. If you don’t agree, then just take the initiating time on my graphic timeline and move it up by the duration of the phone call. But don’t ask me to change it, because by and large it won’t make that much difference in the long run anyway. Casey tended to not answer phone calls, but let it go to voicemail and then either ignore the call or call them back. When you take that habit and added with there aren’t that many long duration incoming calls, if my decision is in error, it only has a minor negative effect to the accuracy of the overall timeline.
Concerning driving times listed. Yes, those are the times from a mapquest travel time. Yes, I know they are not accurate because they most likely do not take into account traffic load at certain times of day in Orlando. Just use them as a minimum driving time, or ignore them completely. Like I said, this was initially made only for my own use.
Now I’ll give a bit of “legend” in interpreting the graphic:
Green triangle means a data point known by Casey’s cell phone records.
Blue triangle means a data point known by computer activity.
Red triangle means a location data point for Casey (off cell phone pings, receipts or eye witness accounts).
Orange triangle means driving time.
Black triangle means uncertainty in where Casey is.
Yellow triangle means data associated with some one other than Casey (most times, Cindy, George or Lee).
Some helpful hints in navigating (that is if the software behaves):
* Click on an event and you can see the notes I’ve put in for that.
* Over on the right hand side you can click “Go To” and enter a specific date to go immediately to that date.
* You can use the right-hand sidebar to focus in on a smaller time increment.
* You can “re-focus” by using the top left tab and it will take you back to June 16th.
Some things I’ve noticed while constructing this timeline:
1. The “private moments” as discussed in a previous entry.
2. The spastic phone calls of Cindy Anthony that began on June 30th and went through July 3rd. This same time period has Cindy creating her myspace and openly stating her concerns about Caylee’s welfare. It also has Cindy phoning Lee and telling him to find his sister in Orlando (which proves Cindy knew damned well Casey was in Orlando), and lastly, but far more importantly, it shows that the “friend” of Casey’s who tipped her off that Lee was coming to talk to her was the same friend we’ve heard George and Cindy testify to in bond hearings, interviews with LE and sworn depositions to be Casey’s BFF – Cindy. I’m hoping to see prosecutors ask her why she tipped Casey off. To be quite honest, I don’t think it was Cindy trying to ensure Lee wouldn’t meet up with Casey, I think it’s just another instance of Cindy trying to be a bad-ass and probably calling Casey and threatening that “your brother is coming to get you and you’re coming home”. Anyways, it’s apparent in the timeline once you stack the ping cell data with the call data that Cindy is, in fact, the one who tipped Casey off.
Anyways, I hope it is useful to you and I look forward to having you share with me any observations you might make in this format that I have not yet noticed.
Valhall.

Thank you for sharing your timeline. It may be jiggy for some to use but it is still a valuable tool. I’ve bookmarked your whole page to save the legend and notes you have posted.
I learned something new, too. So, it was Cindy who tipped Casey off inadvertantly. She tells George to quit worrying about Casey’s whereabouts yet it looks like she did her own investigating. Makes me think she knew way more than she is professing to know. Casey may have murdered Caylee but Cindy is the after the fact script writer and producer of how things went down. I’d wager that Cindy is the creator of the Blanchard Park scenario.
Cindy says that Casey had to have had help-yeah, after Casey’s dirty deed of murder, her mother stepped in to “help”, imo.
Sherry,
I plan to do a write up on the whole Jay Blanchard Park issue because I believe you are, in fact, absolutely correct. It is my humble opinion that Cindy has been the master-mind behind several of the obfuscating and diversionary tactics taken by the entire Anthony clan, and I believe there is proof to back that opinion.
I probably won’t get that up for a few days seeing we have a doc dump today and I’ll be sitting here staring at forensics or such. As per my luck, I’ve just started a new college course at the same time as a massive doc dump so I’m going to have to juggle studying and discovering! Oh well – makes for a richer life!
Ohhh, wow! Valhall, this is really awesome! Do you ever sleep? Thank you for all of your hard work and massive effort’s! (I didn’t want to break it, so I just skimmed through….wow!)
Both you and Sherry have reminded me of the narrative of Debbie P. (Cindy’s supervisor) and interview with Debbie B. as to “when” Cindy “knew” that things had gone haywire. She started the cover up that week of June 16th…as she related the pool ladder and gate open story at work. Plus, she was requesting time off DURING THE DAY the last weeks of June. (she knew KC was sneaking in and wanted to catch her)

LOL, Valhall! I believe the reason for Baez to keep Casey away from her family is not because he’s afraid Casey will talk but that Cindy will.
Good morning – this could explain what Casey meant in the jail video when she stated to Cindy – ‘Don’t worry, I didn’t say anything’
Valhall-
I have been an admirer of your work on this case for quite some time. Your time line, which I originally located on abovetopsecret.com, of which I am otherwise not a fan due to the conspiracy theory content, is superior to all others, by a long shot.
The well researched and thoughtfully crafted entries you have posted here on the case are truly top notch.
I have only ever posted at one other site, but felt compelled to join the chorus of admiration directed your way.
The reason I originally posted on the case –after spending numerous hours reviewing witness statements/interviews, etc– was to express my considered opinion (as an attorney with close to two decades of litigation/trial experience) regarding the involvement and potential charges against/culpability of the other family members for obstruction of justice and/or as accessories after the fact to this horrific, premeditated, murder of a 34 month old baby girl.
Despite the fact that it is not evidence which can be used to prove her culpability for the murder of her child, I was fascinated by your piece on the fine art that Casey viewed privately. The fact that she was taking time to view those paintings is telling, and particularly so when coupled with not only the “Diary of Days” poem you also referenced, but additionally when one also recalls that Sevendust song ( “The Past”–with the lyric, “Beneath the water that’s falling from my eyes, Lays a soul I’ve left behind” ) she played incessantly (per Tracey M) after Padilla bonded her out of jail, and then, too, the June 21st diary entry:
I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out okay.
I completely trust my own judgment & know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means.
I just want to know what the future will hold for me. I guess I will soon see — This is the happiest that I have been in a very long time.
I hope that my happiness will continue to grow — I’ve made new friends that I really like. I’ve surrounded myself with good people — I am finally happy.
Let’s just hope that it doesn’t change.
For a woman who has famously claimed that she will not confess, Casey’s personal writings and viewings are laced with irony, because they are nothing less than admissions of a guilty conscience (though I do not believe that they are, by any stretch of the imagination, expressions of remorse for what she has done).
I must admit that I am far more interested in Cindy and George Anthony with respect to the crime/the attempted obstruction of the investigation.
Looking forward to reading what you have to share with respect to their “personal moments” (as my own opinions as based entirely on their LE interviews, media statements, sworn deposition testimony, all of which continue to morph into a Byzantine labyrinth of lies).
On your splendid body of work, I cheer, “BRAVA!” (as though I was at the Met to see, once again, the Dance of the Seven Veils from “Salome” by Strauss) (many interpretations of how Casey viewed herself can be gleaned from “The Apparition” alone).
Dear Silver,
Welcome and thank you very, very much for your kind words. I hope you will come back and share more from your perspective because I think we can all learn so much from your point of view and application of experience.
I look forward to reading your thoughts on these issues in the future!
Val – the timeline works great on my Mac – and it hits my brain on the right level (visually and probably simplistic!) ha! You can almost get a feel for the calm before the storm, the panic and then the dodging that went on in her mind just by watching the spikes and lulls in the different types of activity. Thanks so much for the work you put into this – and sharing! I will be looking at this for a while – maybe with the other screen filled with some pertinent artwork and a little Strauss in the background. Sounds like a macabre weekend Yikes. Again, many thanks.
lily,
I’m glad it is working well. Part of the reason the darned thing isn’t finished yet is I get terribly exasperated when trying to work with it. Maybe it behaves better in view mode. At some point I will get the rest of the ping data entered in it. I believe I got hung up on July 3rd when I just gave up for a while. For those of us who are “visual learners” I think it can be helpful. It was to me.
I can’t get into the timeline although it was a breeze last week to see it. I couldn’t finish it all in a day and thought I’d come back and read more. Is it still available?
Mimi,
I’m assuming you’re talking about the Timeglider timeline? I hope it’s working now. Maybe their server was down or something. Let me know if it continues to not work for you, so that I can try to figure out what the problem is.
It’s working for me now. Thanks!
