Also interesting about this painting, Mitsukuni defying the skeleton spectre invoked by Princess Takiyasha, is that the decor of the Anthony house is a asian motif. Perhaps Casey was drawn to this painting as it illustrated (in her mind) the punishment she had inflicted upon her parents (primarily Cindy) by killing Caylee. Casey (being the 'princess') and the skeleton of Caylee (evoked by the princess)haunting over the family. As if in her cold and calculated way, to say..hey Cindy, add THIS one to your asian collection. I just think the connection to Cindy stands out in this selection by Casey for download.

This is a nice place, I enjoy reading the works of Vallhall and the comments.

Regarding Casey and her feelings, On June 17 Casey uploaded the video of Caylee and her great-grandfather to her laptop.
Tony witnessed Casey watching that video (a couple of times?) and noticed her crying.
Maybe it was not just fear and guilt that she felt that night.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful writings. I just found this site today and have put it in my favorites so I can visit often. I agree with you regarding Andrea Yate's husband. I am thrilled that I am not alone. I am also very interested the search process Casey went through regarding the art. She does not strike me as an deep thinker or someone who went to school long enough to have been exposed this sort of thing. Maybe I'm wrong about Florida public schools, but I know my children got horrid art history educations in high school in Ohio.
Again, thank you!

Welcome, Word Girl, and I appreciate you wandering over from the "land of Blink".

I agree with you that this is not something that she stumbled across when trying to find album art and tattoo art. I have to admit to you I did quite a bit of research after noticing these 2 pieces of art on Casey's laptop because, I too, wondered if this pointed to a neck injury. I don't know if we'll ever know that for certain, but I do feel these particular files say a great deal about the demons Casey was wrestling.

Ah, here is also where the good writers hide. Not hidden, but now found and duly congratulated. I've come to see you from land of Blink.

Art lover here, also. Outrageous revelation of a tortured soul. I agree with QB that these paintings might not easily pop up in her general pop-culture sites. Correct me if that is the wrong perception.

It does occur to me that perhaps Casey Anthony did break the neck of Caylee Anthony, before or after death, allowing for the vertebral column to be more easily separated from the skull and, to provoke the "beheading" images, either by a specifically morbid search, or by a more randomly-accessed well of guilt.
